E-2.3 - Act respecting school elections to elect certain members of the boards of directors of English-language school service centres

18. The voting option shall be effected by sending a notice in writing to the returning officer or, outside election proceedings, to the director general of the English-language school service centre.
The notice must include the name, date of birth, sex and domiciliary address of the elector.

18. 18. Notwithstanding sections 15 and 16, the only electors who may vote at the election of commissioners of
(1)  a dissentient school board are electors who declare themselves to be of the same religious confession as the board;
(2)  a Catholic confessional school board or a school board for Catholics are electors who declare themselves to be of a religious confession other than Protestant or of no religious confession;
(3)  a Protestant confessional school board or a school board for Protestants are electors who declare themselves to be of a religious confession other than Catholic or of no religious confession.
An elector who declares himself to be of a religious confession, whether Catholic or Protestant, and who has a child admitted to the educational services of a school board that declares itself to be of a different religious confession may vote only at the election of commissioners of a school board that declares itself to be of his religious confession or of no religious confession, at his own choosing.
