137. Before striking off or refusing to enter the name of a person, the board of revisors shall give one clear day’s advance notice to the person.
The notice shall be notified at the address entered on the list of electors or at any place where the board or the revising officer has reason to believe that the person may be reached.
However, the board is not required to give the notice where
(1)  the person is present before the board;
(2)  the board is satisfied with the proof made to it that the person in respect of whom the application for striking off is made is disqualified from voting as a result of a judgment rendered under article 288 of the Civil Code or is deceased;
(3)  the person has met with and confirmed to a revising officer that he is not entitled to have his name entered on the list of electors.

137. Before taking into consideration an application to have a name struck off, the board of revisors shall give a notice of one clear day to the person contemplated by the application.
The notice shall be served at the address entered on the list of electors or, where the person contemplated by the application has an actual or elected domicile in the territory of the municipality, at the address of that domicile.
