57. (Repealed).

57. Notwithstanding section 56, every depositary, holder or debtor contemplated in paragraph b and c of the said section, without awaiting the delivery of the disposal permit mentioned therein, may remit an amount not exceeding $1 500, and the insurer contemplated in paragraph e of the said section, without awaiting the delivery of the said permit, may pay to the child, father, mother, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepson or stepdaughter of the deceased an amount not exceeding $10 000 in all, if the beneficiary of that amount is domiciled or resident in Québec at the time of the death.
