542. Personal information and documents relating to the procreation of a child involving the contribution of a third person and held by a centre for assisted procreation, a professional or a public body, as the case may be, are confidential, except as otherwise provided by law.
However, if the health of the person born of procreation involving the contribution of a third person, of that third person or of a close relative genetically linked to them warrants it, the court may allow the necessary medical information to be sent, confidentially, to the medical authorities concerned.

542. Personal information relating to medically assisted procreation is confidential.
However, where the health of a person born of medically assisted procreation or of any descendant of that person could be harmed if the person were deprived of the information requested, the court may allow the information to be transmitted confidentially to the medical authorities concerned. A descendant of such a person may also exercise this right where the health of that descendant or of a close relative could be harmed if the descendant were deprived of the information requested.

However, where serious injury could be caused to the health of a person born of such procreation or of any of his descendants if he were deprived of the information he requires, the court may allow such information to be transmitted confidentially to the medical authorities concerned. A descendant of such a person may also avail himself of this right if the fact that he is deprived of the information he requires could be the cause of serious injury to his health or the health of any of his close relatives.
