70. Whoever contravenes section 17, 20 or 28, in the case of big game, or section 19, 22, 24, subparagraph a or c of section 25, section 26, subparagraph e of section 30 or section 31, 32, 33, 48 or 66 of this act is guilty of an offence and liable, in addition to the payment of the costs, for a first offence to a fine of $300 to $1 000 or to imprisonment for not less than one month and not more than three months or to both penalties together, and for any subsequent offence within two years to a fine of $500 to $1 500 and to imprisonment for not less than one month and not more than six months.

70. Whoever wilfully gives false information to a conservation officer in the performance of his duties is guilty of an offence and liable, in addition to the payment of the costs, to a fine of $25 to $100 or to imprisonment for not more than fifteen days, or to both such penalties at the same time.
