56. Upon the recommendation of the Minister of Recreation, Fish and Game and of the Minister of Energy and Resources the Government shall determine by regulation the portions of the territory of the public domain in which the Minister may lease exclusive hunting or fishing rights for salmon rivers, trapping lands or outfitting territories.
Subject to the Lands and Forests Act (chapter T-9), such leases shall be granted for a period not exceeding ten years on payment of an annual rent determined according to the standards prescribed by the regulations and payable beforehand on pain of nullity of the lease. Tacit renewal shall not apply to such leases.
