Section 12
Disposition versions
12. Any company constituted under this Act may purchase and hold lands for the use of the said gas-works or waterworks, or gas and waterworks, and such land held by any such company shall be held for the purposes for which the company is constituted, in constructing its necessary works and for no other purpose, and shall not at any time exceed in value $30,000.
12. Any company incorporated under this act may purchase and hold lands, tenements and hereditaments for the use of the said gas-works or waterworks, or gas and waterworks, and such real estate held by any such company shall be held for the purposes for which the company is incorporated, in constructing its necessary works and for no other purpose, and shall not at any time exceed in value $30 000.
