241. The term of office of a member of the board of directors contemplated in paragraph 1 or 2 of section 240 shall be that fixed by the Council and may be renewed.
However, the term of office of a member of the board chosen from among the citizens is two years. His term of office is renewable but once.
Sections 12.1 to 12.11, adapted as required, apply to a member of the board chosen from among the citizens.

241. The chairman and general manager shall be appointed by the Government.
The other commissioners shall be appointed by the Council. One of the commissioners shall be appointed upon a motion by a representative of the city of Montréal and the other upon a motion by a representative of another municipality.

241. The chairman and general manager shall be appointed by the Government.
The other commissioners shall be appointed by resolution of the Council of the Community; one of such other commissioners shall be appointed upon a motion by a member of the Council appointed by the City of Montréal and the other upon a motion by a member of the Council appointed by another municipality in the territory of the Commission.
If the chairman and general manager or another commissioner dies, resigns, is absent or is unable to act, he may be replaced temporarily by another person appointed for such purpose in the same manner as the person to be replaced. In that case, the fourth paragraph of this section, the first paragraph of section 242 and the second, third and fourth paragraphs of section 248 do not apply.
The chairman and general manager and the other commissioners shall devote their time exclusively to the work of the Commission and the duties of their office and shall not engage in any other remunerative employment or occupation.
