119. Subject to the Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), the warden is appointed by the members of the county council in the month of November in each year.
In a newly established county municipality, the appointment of the first warden takes place at the first general sitting of the council held after the corporation is organized, or at the special sitting convened for that purpose in conformity with article 143.
