112. (Repealed).

112. No person can discharge the duties of mayor or local councillor, until he has taken the oath of office, before competent authority, according to the form contained in this article.
An entry of the taking of the oath is made in the minute book of the council.






FORM

I (name, Christian name and municipal office) of the (parish, township or village, as the case may be), solemnly swear: that I will honestly and faithfully perform the duties of such office to the best of my judgment and ability. So help me God.
