265. Any proceeding will be declared perempted, upon the application of the defendant, six months after the last useful written proceeding is filed.

265. Subject to the provisions of article 269, any suit will be declared perempted, upon the application of the defendant, if one year has elapsed since the last useful proceeding was filed.
