88. Everyone shall be guilty of an offence and liable, on summary proceeding, to a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1 000 and costs and, in default of payment of the fine and costs, to imprisonment for not less than thirty days nor more than ninety days, who, while his driving license or permit, of any kind whatsoever, is cancelled or suspended, applies for or obtains a new driving license or permit, of any kind whatsoever, either under the same surname and Christian names or initials as appearing on the cancelled or suspended license or permit, or gives a surname, Christian names, initials or information in any way differing therefrom.
