6.1. (1)  No registration of a motor vehicle shall be effected unless the person applying therefor
(a)  furnishes to the Régie a statement of insurance in accordance with section 96 of the Automobile Insurance Act (chapter A-25) for the motor vehicle concerned or he furnishes the certificates required by the said act;
(b)  pays to the Régie, in addition to the duties exigible, the amount fixed under Title V of the said act.
(2)  Every amount collected by the Régie is paid to the Régie de l’assurance automobile du Québec after deducting the reimbursements and taking into account the adjustments resulting from agreements and the collection costs determined by the Government.

(a)  furnishes to the Bureau a statement of insurance in accordance with section 96 of the Automobile Insurance Act (chapter A-25) for the motor vehicle concerned or he furnishes the certificates required by the said act;
(b)  pays to the Bureau, in addition to the duties exigible, the amount fixed under Title V of the said act.
(2)  Every amount collected by the Bureau under subparagraph b of subsection 1 is paid to the Régie de l’assurance automobile du Québec after deducting the reimbursements and taking into account the adjustments resulting from agreements and the collection costs determined by the Government.
