115. The prothonotary or the clerk of any civil court shall, within eight days of the report of a suit claiming damages from the owner, possessor, operator or chauffeur of a motor vehicle involved in an accident, give notice of such suit to the Régie, at Québec, mentioning the number of the case, the names and addresses of the parties, the date and the place of the accident, the fault alleged and, if it appears from the statement of claim, the registration number of the vehicle concerned and the names and addresses of its owner and of the person who drove it at the time of the accident.
Within eight days of the production of a plea alleging a fault or a negligence of the owner or of the operator, or of a chauffeur of another motor vehicle involved in the accident, the prothonotary or the clerk shall give to the Régie, at Québec, a similar notice with respect to the facts alleged in the defence.
