180. A conviction for an offence under any of the following provisions of the Criminal Code (R.S.C. 1985, c. C-46) committed with a road vehicle or an off-highway vehicle entails by operation of law the cancellation of any licence to drive a road vehicle or the suspension of the right to obtain such a licence:
(1)  section 220, 221, 236, paragraph a of subsection 1 or subsection 3 or 4 of section 249, section 249.1, 249.2, 249.3, subsection 1, 3 or 4 of section 249.4 or subsection 1, 1.2 or 1.3 of section 252;
(2)  section 253, subsection 5 of section 254 or subsection 2, 2.1, 2.2, 3, 3.1 or 3.2 of section 255.
The convicting judge must order the confiscation of the licence referred to in the first paragraph so that it may be returned to the Société.

180. Where a person is convicted under the Criminal Code of an offence committed with a road vehicle or an off-highway vehicle, that person’s learner’s licence, probationary licence or driver’s licence shall be cancelled if the offence is an offence under
(1)  section 220, 221 or 236;
(2)  paragraph a of subsection 1, subsection 3 or 4 of section 249 or section 249.1;
(3)  subsection 1, 1.2 or 1.3 of section 252;
(4)  section 253, subsection 5 of section 254 or subsection 2, 2.1, 2.2, 3, 3.1 or 3.2 of section 255.
Upon convicting the person, the judge shall order the confiscation of the licence referred to in the first paragraph so that it may be returned to the Société.
If the person does not hold a learner’s licence, probationary licence or driver’s licence, his right to obtain such a licence is suspended.

If the person does not hold a licence, his right to obtain a licence is suspended.
