169. (1)  If a candidate dies between the nomination of candidates and the closing of the poll, the returning officer shall immediately fix another day for the nomination and proceed with a new election.
(2)  The deposit of a deceased candidate shall be remitted to his legal representatives.
(3)  Such new election shall, in all other respects, be held in the same manner as an election contemplated in section 149, but the revised list which was to be used for the election that was not held as a result of the death of the candidate shall be used for such new election.
