118. (1)  Signboards, stretching across or projecting over the highway crossed at a level by any railway, shall be erected and kept up at each crossing at such height as to leave 487 centimetres from the highway to the lower edge of the signboard, and the words “railway crossing” shall be painted on each side of the signboard, in letters not less than 15 centimetres in length.
(2)  For any neglect to comply with the requirements of this section, a fine of not more than $40 shall be incurred.
