85. Children, other than those who may benefit from the exemption under section 84.1, staying in Québec temporarily may, at the request of one of their parents, be exempted from the application of the first paragraph of section 72 and receive instruction in English in the cases or circumstances and on the conditions determined by regulation of the Government. The regulation shall also prescribe the period for which such an exemption may be granted and the procedure to be followed in order to obtain or renew it.

85. 85. Persons staying in Québec temporarily or their children may be exempted by the Minister of Education from the application of this chapter to such extent as the Government may prescribe by regulation.
The regulations shall prescribe the cases, conditions or circumstances wherein certain persons, categories of persons, or their children, may be exempted, the period for which an exemption may be granted and the formalities of application and renewal.

85. The Government, by regulation, may determine the conditions on which certain persons or categories of persons staying in Québec temporarily, or their children, may be exempted from the application of this chapter.
