73. On motion by the Prime Minister, the National Assembly shall appoint a person called the “Auditor General” and fix his salary.
To be valid, such appointment must be approved by two-thirds of the members of the National Assembly.
The Auditor General may resign at any time by giving notice in writing to the President of the National Assembly.
He shall not be dismissed except by a resolution approved by two-thirds of its members.
The term of office of the Auditor General shall be ten years; he shall remain in office, notwithstanding the expiry of his term, until reappointed or replaced.
