52. When the amount of compensation payable to an employee under this act in the case of disability, added to the amount of a disability pension payable to the same employee, for the same reason, under the Act respecting the Québec Pension Plan (chapter R-9), exceeds the amount of his average earnings which serves as the basis for establishing the amount of the said compensation, such compensation must be reduced by an amount equal to such excess.
Nevertheless this section shall not apply to a case where such excess is derived from the annual pension adjustment contemplated in section 41 of this act and in section 119 of the Act respecting the Québec Pension Plan.
