16. Subject to sections 7 and 8, the benefits under this Act are in lieu of all rights, recourses and rights of action, of any nature whatsoever, of the beneficiary against an employer whose industry is subject to this Act by reason of any accident happening to him, and no action in respect thereof lies in any court of justice.

16. The compensation under this act shall be in lieu of all rights, recourses and rights of action, of any nature whatsoever, of the workman, of the members of his family, or his dependants against the employer of such workman by reason of any accident happening to him, by reason of or in the course of his work for such employer, and no action in respect thereof shall lie in any court of justice.
