53.9. The by-law amending the metropolitan plan or the RCM plan comes into force on the day the Minister notifies an opinion to the responsible body declaring that the by-law is consistent with government policy directions or, in the absence of an opinion, at the expiry of the period prescribed in section 53.7.
The first paragraph does not apply if the responsible body has failed to act under the fourth or fifth paragraph of section 53.7.

The by-law amending the development plan comes into force on the day the Minister serves a notice on the regional county municipality, declaring that the by-law is consistent with the aims and projects referred to in section 53.7 or, in the absence of a notice, at the expiry of the period prescribed in the said section.

The by-law amending the development plan comes into force on the day the Minister serves a notice on the regional county municipality, declaring that the by-law is consistent with the aims and projects referred to in section 51 or, in the absence of such a notice, on the expiry of the period prescribed in section 53.7.
