Act respecting the floral emblem
Chapter E-5 is replaced by the Act respecting the flag and emblems of Québec (chapter D-12.1). (1999, c. 51, s. 10).

WHEREAS the white lily figures in heraldic form in the arms of the Province and on its official flag;
Whereas it is expedient that such flower, associated with the historic origins and traditions of Québec, be designated officially as the floral emblem of the Province;
Therefore, Her Majesty, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and of the Legislative Assembly of Québec, enacts as follows:
1. The white garden lily, known botanically as lilium candidum, is designated officially as the floral emblem of Québec.

REPEAL SCHEDULE

In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes, 1964, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed effective from the coming into force of chapter E-5 of the Revised Statutes.
