Regulation respecting the rates for using the public fast-charging service for electric vehicles

Hydro-Québec Act

(chapter H-5, s. 22.0.2).

The rates prescribed in the Regulation have been indexed as of 1 January 2024 pursuant to the notice published in Part 1 (French) of the Gazette officielle du Québec of 16 December 2023, page 832. (Sch. I)

1. The rates for using the public fast-charging service for electric vehicles are those provided for in Schedule I. The rates are fixed on an hourly basis and vary according to the power of the station used and, for certain stations, according to the other parameters in the tables in Schedule I.

2. The rates are adjusted by operation of law on 1 January of each year by a rate corresponding to the annual variation in the average all-items Consumer Price Index for Québec excluding alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and recreational cannabis for the 12-month period ending on 30 September of the year preceding the year for which the rates are to be adjusted. That rate may not be less than zero.

The Minister publishes the results of the adjustment, which must be rounded to the nearest whole cent, in the Gazette officielle du Québec.

2. For the use of a 50 kW fast-charging station:
